We’re excited to announce that our Founding Partner Semyon Dukach has been named the top VC in New England in the Boston Globe’s 2025 Tech Power Players list.
The Boston Globe highlighted Semyon as the top honoree in the VC sector and one of the 12 most influential tech figures in New England. He was chosen by the newspaper’s team based on his achievements fostering change in the region as a longtime advocate for immigrant entrepreneurs.
We’re honored to see Semyon’s name alongside Larry Bohn and David Fialkow at General Catalyst, Jeff Bussgang at Flybridge, Brian Halligan at Propeller Ventures / Sequoia, Eric Paley and David Frankel at Founder Collective, and Katie Rae at Engine Ventures.
Semyon first arrived in Boston 35 years ago, and has since become a key player in the Boston tech scene. In the ‘90s he led one of MIT’s notorious blackjack teams, he later founded several tech startups, became an angel investor in over 100 companies, and ran Techstars Boston.
As Founding Partner of One Way Ventures, and a child refugee from the USSR himself, Semyon has made it his mission to champion immigrant entrepreneurs in Boston and across the United States.
The yearly Tech Power Players list is truly a reminder that Boston is home to some of the biggest names in tech not only in the country, but the world.
